Tripadvisor Reviews
Had the absolute best time with Prodive Cairns! Both of our instructors Flo and Delana were great - so good at what they do and so fun to be around. The entire experience from training in the pool & classroom to being out on the reef was more than I ever could have hoped. Cant stress enough what a great service Prodive provides, the entire crew go above & beyond. Will definitely be back to continue my education & recommend as many people as I can to give it a go 😊 you definitely will not regret it!

Have been out with Pro Dive Cairns twice now for their 3 day live and board. Will most likely be back again next year too 🙌🏼 can not recommend enough. Get socialise while diving with like minded people from all over the world plus you get fed. Was so much fun thank you.

I just spent 3 days/2 nights on ProDive3 and Ocean Quest, both liveaboard dive boats on the Great Barrier Reef operating out of Cairns. I will compare my experience and impressions of the two.ProDive offered the better dive sites with healthier coral. ProDive also offered longer dive times - typically 60 minutes versus 50 minutes on Ocean Quest. Both boats want divers to return to surface with 1/4 tank of air/NOx. Because all dives were shallow, that was never restrictive on me or my (experienced) buddy. It also made nitrox unnecessary.ProDive gave detailed pre-dive briefings, including compass headings for self navigation. Ocean Quest gave less self navigation info; instead it offered dive guides at an additional cost of $20 per diver per dive, payable daily. The Ocean Quest is a larger boat, and it's cabins have individual heads. There is also much more communal space to sprawl on Ocean Quest. I preferred the food on ProDive; however, it was also good on Ocean Quest. ProDive was BYO beer, wine, etc. Ocean Quest sells beer & wine, payable daily. Neither boat had meatloaf on Wednesday.I would return to dive with ProDive, but not with Ocean Quest. First, ProDive honored it's advertised commitment of shuttle from/to my lodging, while Ocean Quest (Divers Den) did not. Second, the tone on Ocean Quest was set by strict rules compliance, seemingly dictated from the top down. "Be Afraid" is the message I got. On ProDive, the message I heard was "Smile". Both were safe boats, however ProDive was much more chill ... and fun.
